St Michael's is open daily whether for prayer, meditation, private contemplation or to become immersed in the history of the place

A dementia‑friendly church is one where belonging, calm, and gentle clarity shape every part of worship. It offers a warm welcome, familiar patterns, and clear signage so people can move confidently. Services use steady pacing, well‑known hymns, and simple language, reducing anxiety while preserving dignity.

Volunteers understand how to support someone who may be confused, distressed, or slow to respond. Space is arranged to minimise noise and visual clutter, helping people stay oriented. Most of all, the church becomes a community of patience and kindness, where every person—regardless of memory or ability—is recognised, included, and valued. .
St. Michael’s Llanyblodwel Church is part of the Border Benefice with our sister churches, St Agatha’s in Llanymynech, St Philip and St James in Morton and All Saints’ in Trefonen. Follow the link to find out more about the Benefice Border Benefice – Llanyblodwel – Llanymynech – Morton – Trefonen
